About The Positions We’re Hiring For
Behavior Therapist
Part-Time, Los Angeles
- Must have at least 6 months experience working with individuals with Autism or any developmental disabilities.
- Must have basic knowledge of the following:
- Basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis
- Behavior analytic learning principles (i.e., reinforcement, punishment, and extinction) and how they are used to reduce problem behaviors, increase appropriate behaviors replacement behaviors, and teach new skills.
- Ethical guidelines for the practice of applied behavior analysis
- Basic knowledge and implementation of common data collection tools (e.g., frequency, rate, duration)
- Must be self-motivated, responsible, honest, articulate, and be able to work independently and in a team.
- Stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend over, crouch down, walk, sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance from another adult.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency with all Microsoft Office programs.
- Implement ABA program with consistency and treatment/procedural integrity
- Utilize antecedent intervention procedures (e.g., Premack Principle, Non-contingent Reinforcement, Functional Communication Training).
- Utilize behavior analytic teaching strategies (e.g., task analysis, shaping, chaining, Direct Instruction, Discrete Trial Training, Pivotal Response Therapy, Natural Teaching Environment, and Precision Teaching).
- Utilize consequence interventions (e.g., reinforcement (schedules), punishment, and extinction).
- Provide social skills instruction.
- Provide authorized services directly to the family and consumer.
- Maintain communication with consumers/parents/caregivers through email and phone calls.
- Collect, review, summarize, and communicate data (data sheets, session notes, task analyses, ABC data sheets, parent goal data, etc.) and progress with Program Supervisor.
- Maintain communication with Program Supervisor for mastery and new programs on each individual case.
- Conducts one-on-one consumer/parent/caregiver sessions.
- All sessions are face-to-face, and not through electronic means.
- Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development trainings.
- Report any incidents and communication from the parent to the Program Supervisor
- Submits SIR within the same day of incident.
- Contact Program Supervisor and Human Resource Department prior to cancellations.
- Provide consistent and ongoing therapy to clients; no consistent cancellations allowed.

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) &
FBA (Functional Behavior Assessment) Specialist
Full-Time, Los Angeles
- In good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Experience as a Functional Behavior Assessment Specialist
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience providing ABA services to children with Autism
- Expertise in development of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs supervising BCaBA’s and/or Behavior Technicians preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Solid technical skills and passion for quality service
- Organized and efficient, detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Positive and professional team player
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills, able to connect easily with others
- Spanish speaking is highly desired, but not required.

Do you accept insurance/what insurance do you accept?
We accept most insurance except LA CARE. This includes Aetna, Anthem, Beacon, Blue Shield, Blue Cross, Cigna, HealthNet, Humana, Tri-Care, Magellan, MHN, Medical Insurance.
What is the process to start?
Call 888-9MY-HHBS to talk to our Admission Director. Our Admission Director will discuss the steps to get started such as insurance authorization to complete a Functional Behavior Assessment. Once we have authorization our BCBA Clinical Director will complete the assessment and we can set up a schedule.
Do you provide services virtually?
Telehealth sessions can be utilized via Zoom, Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp, etc. When you begin, a supervisor will be there to explain to you (the parents) how telehealth sessions work and make sure you and your child are comfortable.
When services are in-person what safety and health precautions are you taking?
- Staff, Parents/Guardians must take temperatures upon entering building.
- Staff, Parents/Guardians must wash their hands before and after every session.
- Staff must wear gloves and protective face masks.
- Staff must clean and sanitize the therapy room before and after sessions.
- Staff and Parents/Guardians must complete daily check-in log, answering questions regarding health and exposure.
- If clients or attendees have a fever, or any other symptoms of being sick, they will be sent home and rescheduled.
- When Parents/Guardians come to pick up their child they must wait outside the building until staff brings out their child.
- Therapy Room: No one, other than the Therapists, Supervisors, Clinical Director and Clients are allowed in the Center Room.
- Every 30 mins make sure that the room is sanitized and cleaned.
Are all services provided in the center and at home?
All therapy can be provided at home or center except for our social skills group which is exclusively at the center.
How old are the children that you work with? Do you work with teenagers?
We work with children and teens of all ages. Our clients are between the ages of 1-21.
